How did you interpret the design brief and your specific moment?
YR is a lamb’s wool blanket made in collaboration with Røros Tweed. Inspiration for the project came from a trip to Japan last fall, and the time is a snapshot from a morning in Tokyo where I visited a traditional Japanese garden. The Japanese gardens are miniature landscapes which do not attempt to reproduce nature as it is, but attempt to reproduce nature in a poetic and harmonious way.

The design of the blanket is based on hand-drawn circles set in a random, overlapping pattern to create an illusion of raindrops falling on water.
