How did you interpret the design brief and your specific moment?
The time is 21:17. It is evening, and it is time to calm down and relax, time for good conversation, supper and a relaxing cup of tea!

I love the smell of tea. So I decided to design a series of tea caddies, working with the theme of relaxation. I wanted to approach tea in a sensual and associative way. Relaxation is physical, and breath fills the body with peace, and the stress can let go.

These products are a series of tea tins. The tins are made of laminated birch plywood and are inspired by Old Norwegian craft techniques. The tins are 9.5 x 10.5 cm and have a simple cylindrical shape. The boxes have a simple and decorative expression and can stand alone or in combination with the rest of the range.

The tea tins have been designed for Norwegian Tea, and attempt to express a connection between the tins and the origin of the tea. Norwegian tea is based on herbs and plants, which can be found in the Norwegian flora, with plants like mint, lady's mantle, gulaker, blueberry and birch leaf.
