Utilizing modern technology while rooted in traditional crafts

Veneer have been used for thousands of years to decorate surfaces and to minimize the use of expensive wood. Tabletops and cabinet bodies are today often veneered MDF and can be hard to separate from solid wood. In stead of veneering the top in the Neer series the wood structure is engraved in 1:1 scale using a picture file and a CNC laser.

Neer is a series of furniture shown here as a low table and a cabinet.
The legs are solid oak wood and the top is colored MDF from Valchromat.
The furniture is possible to flatpack.
