How did you interpret the design brief and your specific moment?
My time is 00:01. I have interpreted this as a transition, – a transition between yesterday and tomorrow, between past and future, between analog and digital. In my research I have taken a picture each day at 00:01 and the objects that have surrounded me most at that time are a laptop and a table. I chose to make a table.

Neer is a series of furniture represented here as a low table. Veneer has been used for thousands of years to decorate surfaces and to minimize the use of expensive wood. Tabletops and cabinet bodies are today often veneered MDF and can be hard to separate from solid wood. Instead of veneering the top in the Neer series, the wood structure is engraved in 1:1 scale using a CNC laser. The legs are solid wood and the top is colored MDF from Valchromat. T+47 988 75 876
